I am an Electrical Engineer, Renewable Energy Researcher, and Lecturer with over a decade of combined academic and industrial experience in solar photovoltaic technologies.
My research focuses on enhancing the performance, reliability, and sustainability of photovoltaic systems, with particular emphasis on Floating Solar PV and Canal Top Solar PV through modelling, field investigations, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
Alongside my research, I am committed to engineering education and mentoring future electrical engineers while contributing to the advancement of sustainable energy technologies through teaching, research, and industry collaboration.

My doctoral research integrates solar resource modelling, photovoltaic simulation, system optimization, long-term performance evaluation, and advanced diagnostics to improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of water-mounted solar photovoltaic systems.
Developed an empirical anisotropic solar radiation model tailored to Indian climatic conditions using sunshine duration as the primary meteorological input, significantly improving tilted irradiance estimation for photovoltaic performance prediction.
Conducted comprehensive validation of commercial PV simulation platforms including PVsyst, SAM, Helioscope, and PV*SOL using field-monitored data from water-mounted solar PV systems, identifying modelling limitations and improving prediction reliability.
Developed a unified Response Surface Methodology (RSM)-based optimization framework for canal-top and floating solar PV systems to optimize critical design parameters and enhance energy yield while improving techno-economic performance.
Performed a decade-long in-situ performance and degradation assessment of the world's pilot canal-top solar PV system and evaluated the operational performance of floating solar PV installations under real environmental conditions.
Investigated degradation mechanisms and failure modes in operational water-mounted solar PV systems using infrared thermography, electroluminescence, ultraviolet fluorescence imaging, and electrical characterization techniques.
Established an integrated research framework combining solar resource modelling, simulation validation, design optimization, long-term performance evaluation, and advanced diagnostics for water-mounted photovoltaic systems.
My research has contributed to advancing photovoltaic science through competitive research funding, peer-reviewed scholarly publications, and academic service activities in the international research community.
My research integrates advanced photovoltaic simulation software, programming environments, statistical optimization techniques, experimental diagnostic instruments, and field characterization methods for investigating the performance, reliability, and degradation of photovoltaic systems.
